In April of 2013, on a NYC bound train (where the guys would meet up with, and Eric perform with, David Myhr), John began humming the chorus refrain of the song that eventually would become "The Girl Holding Out For Me." (Incidentally, this same train ride's return trip also gave birth to the title and lyrical concept for "My Lost Colony" from VWR's "Rings" album). The climbing chorus melody was so infectious it soon developed into this track, which has now become the first single released from VWR's upcoming fourth album (as further songs are still being written and recorded for that effort).

With "The Girl Holding Out For Me," VWR returns in force with a tale of the longing, the faith, and the patience/impatience of youth. It also marks the first track featuring VWR's phenomenal new drummer, the formidable DC ace musician Andy Hamburger. We hope you dig this new song, and stay tuned for more to follow!
